Super stoked to get my first level of the British Weightlifting certification come through today with a 95.8% pass.
My next focus will be attaining my level 2 certification - thanks to coach Nicole Booth for her guidance and tips - always the little things that can be the most invaluable!
To be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect going in, but really glad I decided to do it.
I was flipping up about whether I do NSCA-CSCS (which I had done in the past but not renewed) or UKSCA, which is a good course, but not really into having to pay to continually keep a qualification.
Having been lucky to have learnt from some of the best coaches in the world, and over 23 years of education and experience, I felt there were areas I am strong in and areas I weren't. My Olympic lifting technique and breakdown for teaching was one of those areas, so BWL got the nod and I am really glad to be on this journey, the first level and already a better coach than I was a month ago.
